When will I know when games, accessories and new systems come out?

There are many different ways you can find out when these types of products come out.

  • Check your local store. EB Games, Best Buy and GameStop are great examples.
  • Yellow Pages are a great resource to find all the stores. They tell you addresses and phone numbers for the store.
  • Checking Online is also great. Some stores have exclusive features that will tell you if that certain product is online. Best Buy has that feature.
  • News articles and online blogs provide up-to-date news for gaming. IGN are great blog providers for gaming.
  • Media. Televisions. All-News Radio stations provide latest gaming software.

There are many more, but these are the most effective ways.

When should I go buy games, accessories and systems?

Obviously, video games, accessories and systems can be purchased at any time. But here are a few important tips to keep in mind.

  • Always bring 'extra money'. Extra Money is important because you don't know if the game's price has changed. Your parents will probably be your 'extra money provider'.
  • The best days to buy games is Monday - Thursday. This is because a lot of people are busy those days, which means more stock.
  • Always ask before going. This way you'll find out if your product's in stock.

When are video games stores (online and offline) open?

Usually, online gaming stores are open 24 Hours each day. However, you will have to wait a few hours before your request of the product is actually approved. This is because there are so many orders before you, you have to wait a longer time than they do, since they were there first.

Online Stores are based on a 'First Come, First Serve' Basis.

Now Offline Stores or Gaming Stores are not first come, first serve type. They're WYSIWYG. (Like Wetpaint). What You See Is What You Get. So, whatever you see on the shelves, you can purchase it. Gaming Stores don't wait on gaming orders, unless you reserved a game or pre-ordered it. Either way, your still getting your game.

Personally, I recommend buying in-store, since you can see the actual calculations, and not get ripped off online. And besides, you actually get to see the game hands-on, right away. And, I'm a impatient type of guy anyways.

When do games, accessories and systems get shipped (online and in-store)?

Online stores usually ship it to you within 1-3 weeks. This isn't a full gurantee, because they don't know how far you live and how much you bought. Online stores isn't a great idea because you don'y know when they'll give it to you. And sometimes, they might overcharge you online, but it's really priced lower in stores!

In-Store is better because they'll give you information about the game, and they'll tell you if it's in stock. (If it isn't, then they'll tell you when it's coming out again). There is a certain gurantee because you see the game, which means that your certainly getting the game you want.

Overall, In-store purchasing is way better. Ask this question when your buying a system, accessory or game: What if that product description isn't true? What if the game is scratched or damaged?
