Then tune in to this page. This page will have ratings and the description on every rating. And if you didn't see the rating, it's the rating on the back, usually at the bottom. It will also include the type of rating. In certain ratings, there will be descriptions of what the gaming has in it. For people who already know, you can always polish up on them.

This logo means 'Childhood'

Logo Description

This logo means 'Childhood'. This means that games are meant for children. They recommend that ages 3-5 play it, for difficulty reasons. These games will help your child a lot, depending on the genre of the game.
This logo means 'Everyone'

Logo Description

This logo means 'Everyone'. This means that games will include minor violence, cartoon violence and language that might not be suitable to younger children. Ages are usually from 6-9. But older gamers can play this too. Sports games are a usually found with an 'Everyone' logo.
This logo means 'Everyone 10+'

Logo Description

This logo means 'Everyone 10+'. These type of games will be more suitable for ages 10-12. The games will have more 'bad' language, cartoon violence. An example of a game is NHL.
This logo means 'Teenager'

Logo Description

This logo means 'Teenager'. These games are for ages 13-16. These games have humor (which may offend some gamers), blood, gore, strong and harsh language, and themes in the game (that may not be suitable for all gamers). Sims is a great example of this.
This logo means 'Mature 17+'

Logo Description

This logo is rated Mature. This means that only ages 17 and older are able to play these games. Of course, to show proof of your real age, they will want to ask for your ID. If you want to buy that game, but your too young, you could ask a parent to give you permission. These games have sexual themes, strong language, lots of violence and gore. Grand Theft Auto is a great example of Mature 17+.
This logo means 'Adult's Only'

Logo Description

This is probably the most avoided and non-known logo rating in video games. It's the Adult's Only Logo. This logo is meant for ages 18 and up. Anyone under could be fined and will face the consequences. No one under can ask permission. These types of games include extremely long and intense violence, blood and gore, strong sexual themes and nudity that isn't suitable for any other ages.
This logo means that the game isn't rated yet. This is called 'Rating Pending'

Logo Description

This logo means that the game has not been rated, and has yet to be rated. You'll usually see this when the game isn't released yet, and hasn't been rated by the developers/producers of the game (as well as ESRB).
